Local Crisis Centers
A Better Way provides shelter and services for victims of domestic violence, transitional housing, advocacy for victims of sexual assault, a 24-hour crisis line for persons in any type of crisis, AOK afterschool programs, a suicide hotline, bullying, teen dating violence and domestic violence prevention programs, and a check-in call service for elderly or disabled homebound persons.

Trans Youth Family Allies (TYFA) is an international resource with local roots in Indianapolis. TYFA “empowers children and families by partnering with educators, service providers and communities, to develop supportive environments in which gender may be expressed and respected.” TYFA is a wonderful resource for parents, educators, and healthcare practitioners looking for support and information.
